Today was an interesting practice. About ten minutes before the end, at just about the time when I was finishing my match with Sugaya Sensei, the whole sky cracked open with thunder and lightening. Talk about movie
style theatrics!
The whole sky was purple with lightening as we headed
toward the train station. Lightning makes me very nervous because of how
unpredictable it is. Hastily walking through the streets of southern Kyoto with a shinai strapped to my back directly under a thunder storm didn't exactly make me feel seven kinds of safe and comfortable. In general though, I like thunder storms, and thunderstorms
in the middle of keiko add a bit of drama to the activity that’s quite exciting.
